Montreal Canadiens P.K. Subban will not be participating in the IIHF World Hockey championship this year. After making the roster, P.K. attained a minor injury during a pre-tournament game against Switzerland on Sunday.

Alexander Radulov and Andrei Kostitsyn were suspended by the Nashville Predators for game 3 on Wednesday night vs the Phoenix Coyotes for violating team rules. Speculation is that the two went out until at least 4am in Scottsdale, AZ having a good time and all at the team's expense before game 2 but the team is being tight-lipped about it. These boys have all summer to party it up in the USSR so it's not apparent what the hell they were thinking...

Blue Jackets Resign Prospal

The struggling Columbus Blue Jackets have managed to resign one of this seasons only bright spots. Perennial overachiever Vinny Prospal has signed a one-year contract extension worth $2.5 million. Prosal, who is on the wrong side of 35, continues to put up points wherever he plays despite very little flash to his game. He is a great complimentary player and has put up 33 points in 53 games so far this season. While this does little to help the Blue Jackets winning woes it's nice to see Prospal get rewarded.

Former NHL star Alexander Radulov takes a backhanded swing at his KHL coach. While it looks like an accident, he lands a pretty good blow to the chops of a coach who he's reportedly been beefing with all year. The vid is only 6 seconds but it looks like the coach pretty much just shook it off.

Taylor Hall Cut By Teammates Skate

Oilers sophomore sensation Taylor Hall was cut for 30 stitches by his teammate during the warm up in tonights game versus the Columbus Blue Jackets. Hall got tangled up with defenseman Ladislav Smid after stepping on a puck. Corey Potter tried to jump over the two of them and his skate blade caught Hall above the eye. Hall has 31 points in 36 games for the Oilers this season.
